Romanian wilderness is a weekly off-road tourist event in the Romanian Carpathians. Great views, clean air and what we like the most – off-road. The program includes the alpine Transalpina road and the off-road route at almost 2000 m a.s.l. Accommodation in the wild in beautiful places and one in elegant houses with bathrooms and hot water. The expedition takes place in the summer when it is very warm, we spend the night in the wild, at campsites and near pensions (where rooms can be rented). The route is not difficult, even novice drivers should overcome it without major problems. There are of course more demanding moments, but then you can count on the help of an instructor. All you need is a 4 × 4 car with a reducer. It can be cooler in the high mountains, but we won’t be staying there for night. There will be access to water and fuel every day. You can also get everything you need in villages or towns that you pass each day without problems, so you don’t have to take too much inventory from home. Take camping gear, some kind of flashlight, good ankle boots and a wind stopwatch jacket – it can blow strongly in high mountains – the views and emotions will reward these minor inconveniences.
